24 4e Style : Day 2

Leyra

[SBLOCK=OOC]Question about LoS once more... when I shift one square to the left, do I see the Mindslicer then (with cover)? i.e. ist the door to building #8 open?

Do my attacks even go through windows, or do they block LoE? ;)

Also, what kind of action(s) do you need to go through the window? Smash it and squeeze through or somesuch.[/SBLOCK]

Squeezing through a window as a move action is Acrobatic DC 15. Doing so as a free action is DC 25.

The windows have no glasses (that's expensive, by medieval standards!) so there is no question that ranged attack can go through.

No doors are locked around here. [/sblock]

Leyra

Leyra takes a step back, and seeing the gith through the windows of the building, creates a huge blast of radiant energy, that hurts the nearby dragonborn, but fails to wound the retreating githyanki, due to the intervening terrain.

OOC: Shift left, Hunter's Quarry on Dragonborn and Solar Wrath (Dragonborn takes 21 + 5 = 26 damage).

Unable to reach any of the other opponents, Mirage shoots another illusory attack at the dragonborn.

[sblock=All right, you win!]
I really thought this fight would be more challenging, but the momentum turned fairly fast and hard. Now there is really not much tension left and it's about to grind down while still requiring a few weeks worth of posts, yet no one is in any real danger.

So I'll put an end to this right now with a rout. These are mercenaries after all, and they try to flee. Let's hope next fight will be more like the final fight of day 1 (that was a nail biter!)

You are in good position to capture at least one of the remaining enemy. I will give whoever feel in verve the opportunity to describe how it goes down; no dice roll to screw you up, you are free to describe how bad ass your PC can be as they capture some or all of the remaining foe as they run away.

Then I will have a short skill challenge; an interrogation, obviously, albeit one where you should feel free to use a few cerebral skill to understand what is going behind the scene, focusing on what the hell is going on.

Then, a big show down. I will start working on it right now. Obvoiusly, I will need to throw even more tough bad guys, this time...
