"Clear the Bridge!", shouts Dagran with his hand on the lever, hoping to get a little breathing room to move back towards his teammates. Dagran flips the lever. He fends off the blows of his enemies and looks for a way out.

In an attempt to cover the retreat of his companions, Mirage unleashes hell. Fire rains down upon the zombies and assembled legion devils. Both zombies are bathed in flames and one of the devils falls. Turning the globe around he summons a field of grasping shadows around the lead devils but only manages to catch the angel and zombie in the blast. A zone of shadowy tendrils remains ready to catch anyone who tries to follow across the bridge to attack the retreating dwarf. He the retreats off the bridge letting the others take a more aggressive position.

Leyra

Leyra heads up the bridge, fishing an arrow from her quiver on the way. Barely past Barrion, the elf stops and fires another lightning arrow into the closer chillborn zombie right in the middle of the bulk of the enemies. With the arrow finding its mark, a storm of lightning erupts from the zombie, engulfing the majority of their foes. As the effect vanishes, more than half of them lie dead on the ground.

Leyra smiles. “That should help them.”

Free: Elven Accuracy (Re-Roll) hit 23 vs AC for 7 lightning damage

Garrick moves smoothly up onto the bridge and lets fly an enchanted shuriken at the Angel. Ubfirtunately its defensive aura causes the star to swerve off and miss. As it spins back to his hand he calls quietly to Dagran.

"Are they going to be able to undo that lever? I suppose we're gonna have to finish them off, aren't we?

Mirage; you forgot to factor in -2 in your attack against the Angel. 21 - 2 = 19 so you still hit, barely. Also you should remind you of the effect of the spell (slow) in case I forget to check

Garrick; remember the range of the shuriken is 6/12. Between 7 and 12 square, you are at -2. Your total bonus is +12 so the check should have been made at +8. I ad libbed your movement.

Dagran; wow...

For those wondering; it takes a lot longer to raise the grate than drop it. As long as you don't retreat, it's a given that the packs won't float downstream.[/sblock]

The flaming skull orders the zombie that remained outside to shadowy cloud to wait for it to disperse and it does so patiently. The remaining demon legionnaire fanatically press on the attack and teleport past the obstacle. The Angel, slowed by Mirage's magic takes flight and glides to the right of the bridge, shaking of the effect.

Meanwhile the skull incant arcane and terrible word of power and a huge fireball of green flame explodes near the party and engulf everyoneé

Although startled by the fireball going off around him, Garrick is fully aware that this fight cannot go on too long - time is of the essence! Quickly swigging one of the potions of cold resistance he races forward to attack the Chill zombie risking attack from the nearest Legionaire as he does so.

As he moves past the first grunt even his halfling speed and agility is to no avail as the legionaire still manages to hit him. Fortunately it is only a glancing blow and does not prevent the halfling reaching his target. With a precisely aimed blow he hits the icy undead, not only damaging it, but also heaving the unclean minion far out into the reservoir.

Zombie Saving throw (1d20=15)

The zombie manages to dig his heels against the small railing of the bridge and avoids going over.

[sblock]Remember that there is a saving throw against being forced over a precipice, pushed into a damaging area etc. Players can roll it themselve if one of their action would cause one. None of these monsters have a bonus to their saving throw.

Good try, though.

I am assuming Garrick is one of the three PC who received a potion of protection against cold, as suggested by Leyra, and that you drank it, btw.
