Mirage tries the same trick again, targeting the angel. This time the illusory spear plunges into the angel injuring it.

[sblock]The Angel is bloodied; the angelic presence is gone, you no longer take -2 to attack him. I opted to play Nathan right now in order to give Garrick a flanking option by dragging the Angel on solid ground.[/sblock]

Nathan steps away from the bridge. A swift incantation transforms his sword into a lightning whip and he ropes the Angel, dragging him unto the bridge.

Garrick floats effortlessly forward on nimble feet, apparently intent on heading for the grinning, taunting skull but, as he passes the angel, he suddenly changes direction and plunges his dagger into the back of the unsuspecting fiend.

[sblock=OOC] Move to AH12. Deft Strike - move to AI10 (as part of attack) - Dex vs AC 18+11 (with CA) = 29 - Hit! Damage = 14; Roll Lookup Roll Lookup [/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]Sorry for the delay. I've come down with a stinking cold and my broadband connection went down in sympathy![/sblock]

[sblock]Sometimes I wonder where you get your numbers from... But you guys rarely make a mistake that advantage you! I have a player in my live group who does the same thing. Routinely rob himself of several points of bonus. That's how you know you are not dealing with a min/maxer.

Garrick: Your dagger attack with flankng bonus was +14 (32) and the damage with sneak attack was 1d4+2d6+5 (17)

I think you calculated this as if it was a basic attack. Deft strike does use DEX, not STR.

On the other hand, deft strike allows you to move, not shift. So the Angel has an opportunity attack.

Opportunity Attack (-2 marked,-2 Mirage) (1d20+9=10, 1d8+6=7) vs 26

Missed
[/sblock]

The Angel roars in pain and suddenly becomes electrified and the surrounding agents are caught in the maelstrom.

Lightning damage, Gar;Dag;Nath (1d20+9=29, 1d20+9=12, 1d20+9=27, 1d8+4=7) VS Fortitude (-2 to attack from Mirage factored in)

The robust dwarf fights off the effect but both Nathan and Garrick are shocked and dazed by the surge

Meanwhile the Flaming skull moves over the water and seize the opportunity to attack the disoriented Nathan but misses him.

Fire; +2 CA (1d20+14=17) vs 20

[sblock=Garrick,Nathan, Dagran]Reminder; Dazed = you grant CA, you can't flank and you can only take one standard action OR one move action OR one minor action.

That means the Angel isn't currently flanked, even for Dagran who isn't Dazed, because Garrick can't flank[/sblock]

Leyra

“Barrion, Mirage, I hope you guys have something that can rival its range...” Leyra calls out as she heads back down the bridge, readying her longbow.

OOC: Move to AH19; Ranged Basic Attack vs. FS (hit 22 dmg 11).

Garrick swayed, uncertain on his feet, his eyes fixed on the broad shoulders of the angel. With a grim, determined movement his dagger whipped across the throat of the angel bringing the fiend crashing to the ground.

The young halfling felt the shock of the angel's death through the medium of his enchanted dagger as he suddenly felt more...alive!

Barrion moves between the spaces of reality when the Angel dies, reappearing on the bridge. Barrion curses the flaming skull as the eladrin's eyes flare, sending psychic bolts of hatred towards the flameskull. Unfortunately, Barrion is incapable of working up the energy to carry off his eyebite.

Mirage moves across the dike to the other side of the bridge, chasing the skull. There, he summons another illusory jagged spear from his orb and sends it at the flying skull. The spear dissipates before it even reaches the skull.

-''This isn't over!'' screams the flaming skull before speeding away toward the barrage, too fast for the agents to keep up.

The take a moment to catch their breath and soon resume the pursuit.

[sblock]The skull flies at a speed of 10. By the end of his turn he is 20 square to the left and 20 square up. In theory I guess Leyra could still let loose an idle arrow but that's about it. So fight over. More soon.

Spend healing surge as necessary.

Dagran; You reached a milestone and regain your AP. Call it Karma.
