24 (5/18) SPOILERS - When Cougars Attack part 2

What I'm wondering is whether Wayne gets in trouble for be at the scene of the murder suicide this season or next, or worse if his presence is just over looked.
Just that fact that he's in the room and wearing a pair of gloves would be great. Any chance that Sheri had a security camera running?

On the death front, I really hope that Jack doesn't die next week. Chase on the other hand.......

And I like the new hard-nosed boss. The only thing that I don't understand is why Tony was even brought to CTU. Seems to me that dragging him in in cuffs would only serve as a distraction to everyone else currently busy on an important task.

And what worked on Jack's threat to toss Jane into the hotel is that the villain knew Jack and what he was actually capable of - otherwise it would not have flown.

I have a theory related to next season. I think that this season's events have marked President Palmer's transition from noble leader to corrupt politician. It wouldn't surprise me if next season or the season after, Palmer becomes the villan.

To be honest, I fully expected Palmer to use a sniper/hitman to take Sherry out or something similar. However, I think what will happen is Palmer resigns.

I find it an odd title by the way... if anything cougars have been oddly absent from this season's last episodes.

Yeah, I just felt like writing something ridiculous. Cougars fit the bill.

Here's a new sig for you:

Eh...it feels forced. I'm gonna stick with the other one. Thanks though!

It could have been better. They could have used Reiko more.
Here's my prediction. Chase almost catches the guy with the vial only to be taken down by... a cougar.
Maybe not.

Is it evil that I liked seeing Sherry take a bullet or 3?

The Tony story line is dead, please don't waste time in the last hour trying to get us wondering if he'll get executed or go to prison or something else.

As for the new boss. They always start as hard nosed jerks. Eventually, they soften. Then you actually might start to like them. Then they get killed. Anytime you start liking somebody you previously thought was a jerk, they are probably going to end up dead.

I wouldn't be surprised if Jack dies, or if Chase dies. The thing is, if Jack dies, I'm guessing the show dies. This season was definitely lackluster compared to the first 2 and I can't see many people making the transition if Chase becomes the new lead. From what a friend tells me, "Keifer is dreamy". They call him the Velvet Tongue over at televisionwithoutpity, if I recall.

As for 24 versus Alias. Well, Jack Bristow in the first season was THE MAN. They have mellowed, read that as wussed out, his character since then. We only rarely get to see the no holds barred brutally efficient agent anymore.

I concur that if Keifer Sutherland leaves the show, 24 will suffer mightily. He is the glue that holds it together through the shoddy plotting and outrageous cliffhangers.

But I have a really bad feeling that Chase is being groomed to take over. Bleh. Although my wife says the actor is "hot" (and he may be), I just can't see him holding my attention the way K.S. does.

As for Palmer, I would not be surprised to see him resign even though the evidence of his involvement in Sherri's murder is now contained. After all, Senator What's-His-Name could still come forward with his story, which would force a congressional investigation, etc.

BTW, what is up with Palmer's mysterious illness that started at the end of season 2 when he was poisoned, and has never been mentioned again? Anyone? Anyone?

Oh well. I'm still hopelessly addicted to '24'.

Isn't his right hand scarred? I think I remember seeing him taking medication early in the season, when his doctor/girlfriend was still around. Wow, that seems like a long time ago.

Wayne wasn't wearing any gloves when he went back in to stop what's her name, and held her bloody head after the suicide. Of course he and the other guy didn't do anything to stop hairs or fibers from falling on the carpet, and there are too many people who know or suspect the presidents involvement with the old guys death for the police to not end up at his doorstep.

Don't know about camera, but with what I mentioned above I don't think it really matters as far as Wayne ending up in sme sort of trouble.

I don't buy Palmer ever going bad, I could see him resigning. His illness was touched on this season it was just early on, so it was easy to forget about over the course of the season.
