24 (Aired 5/18) SPOILER REQUEST

next week: the 2 hour season finale! And the preview looked damn good... Jack gets to slap the President around some, looks like... dang, how would you like that on your resume...

Well, with marshal law in place, maybe they either 1.) didn't feel the need for security or 2.) with marines stationed all over LA, they simply couldn't spare the manpower.
I am not a native speaker, but I think the correct word is "martial law". (Which would also fit the german equivalent "Kriegsrecht" more, unless marshall is also based on the word martial :) )

Probably that would cause more trouble than good. :) I mean, it essentially says that you don't care much for your boss.

But luckily, it probably won't be part of his resume - Jack is officially not in service for any organisation, IIRC. (I don't think provisional basis counts in a resume, but I might be wrong)

Quite right. :o Been involved in a "dragon shaman steps too much on the toes of the marshal" debate and had the wrong spelling on the brain.

Just to be nitpicky :p It was the American naval officer in charge of the inspection who was shot by Bierko while going topside, not the Russian captain of the sub.

True enough. :o

But the long and the short of it is ... they're all deceased.

Didn't watch the preview but I'm predicting:

1. Evil agent Robocop to die a hero stopping the sub and killing Bierko.

2. Audrey Heller Raines will die.

3. Traitor Weasel Miles will be arrested.

4. Jake will kill Logan.

5. Dr. Ramano will die in a helecopter accident.

I dont know, taht sub thin made me have to seriously susend my belief more than normal. Heck, with that security the old pizza delivery trick would have worked.
Keep in mind, that part of the coolness of 24 is things happen that you don't see. We were busy watching them deal with other stuff and it wouldn't have been as suspenseful if we saw Bierco with his men take down some guards on their way to the sub.

Personaly, untill I saw the preview next week, I was voting for Bierco to kill the president with a missile before Jack stops him from doing any more damage, but that doesn't look to be the case.

Oh, and Silver Moon, I don't think Audry will die (she wasn't even mentioned in the trailor), mostly because I think they're going to let Jack actualy have a somewhat happy ending... for the time being :]

I highly doubt it, I suspect he and his cronies will be the targets for the next season.

On a different matter, did anyone know there was a movie on the way? Or so I gathered while seeing what was on.

4. Jake will kill Logan.

I read a blurb in either People or US Weekly that was a brief interview with the actor who portrays Logan. He said, to paraphrase, that his character will be back in the next season. Granted, that could be in recaps or flashbacks, but it sounds like he's not dying this round.
