24, Hour 7

Are we only up to hour 7? Geez, I thought it was more than that...

*runs off to check website*

Wow, it is. There's a whole lot more story to be told!

Well, the virus was one hell of an opening play, I must say.

(Since you didn't put it in the topic)

So Gael, Jack, and Tony were all in this together? Ummm, you think that someone would have clued someone in. What's the point of getting Jack back undercover? To find who manufactured the virus? Like they're going to trust Jack with that kind of information now. That's kind of a stretch of the imagination.

Is it just me, or are Adam and (hiss) Kim getting along pretty well since the morning started? I wonder if she's gonna leave Chase...

Poor Gael...

I'm getting a little sick of the President Palmer/brother/girlfriend thing. Yes, we know his brother will do what he needs to to get the job done. Yes, we know his girlfriend is being supportive of him and troubled that she's causing him so much trouble. Yes, we know Palmer feels bad about Jack. Get on with it! Seriously, if I have to hear his brother tell the president and the gf "the way politics is" one more time, I'm going to hurl a brick through my television.

I want to know why they want Jack back on the inside? The virus? More terrorist contacts? Something yet to be revealed? I hope it's all of the above.

We'll find out what the goal is next hour when Tony tells Chapell. (God i HATE Chapell, at least the other dude redeemed himself in season 2, Chapell is just an arse and a half...)

I think the mexican chick (god she's hot) has some part to play in this.

As for the President. I really admire him. I wish we could have a real president like him. (fat chance). I'm sure his story line will pick up in an hour or two.

Remember he's sick and still has enemies on the inside. I'm sure we'll see the assassin from Season 1 and 2 again.

I really dont like his brother though. Why would he bring in his YOUNGER brother to be his advisor? Where was he the first two seasons? It makes no sense to bring him in now. I dont like it.

Man, this series is perfect for a d20modern game, no?

Eh. I prefer my modern in the lines of Dark*Matter - modern, with fantastical elements. Sort of a pre-futuristic, I guess. I don't play RPGs to simulate "reality" - I watch shows like 24 and SVU for that.

But in perspective, I think that's why I really liked Earth: Final Conflict.

Well, considering in the teaser for next week we have Tony saying that Chase going down there could mess up Jack finding the virus....I'd say yes, finding the virus is the main reason he's gone back under.

Now, an interesting footnote, is something that was mentioned early on somewhere online or in print before this season began. Basically, the creators hinted/teased that whatever threat this year would tie back into the baddies from previous seasons.

Which brings to mind this big question.

Who helped the Mexican drug cartel guys engineer this virus so it would be deadlier than it normally is? That link I can see perhaps leading back to certain people who Jack would love to get his hands on.

Mexican chick and Jack definitely had some type of relationship when he was undercover last time.

I believe Mandy our lesbian assassin from Season Uno and Dos or Mia Kirshner as she's known when not trying to kill presidents, has a new series of her own starting up or just starting up on Showtime come January. If so, that could prove complications to her coming back. However, there was some rumors that come hour 8 or so, an old face would reappear. Well, tick tock, it's hour eight almost....where's Sherry or Nina? I'd prefer Mandy for obvious reasons..... ;)

Given Palmer's last experience with a Chief of Staff, wouldn't you have given the job to your brother if he was qualified? And as the show hinted at in previous hours, Wayne has been working in the corporate world, hence his morality and David's don't mix.

Yes, it would be great to have a President like this show. Your comments remind me of a critic's comments about the President shown in the movie, Air Force One.

I've been a bit dubious about the latest series of 24 but ther last episode was fantastic. The ending totally caught me off guard.

Chappel was pretty bad ass as well.

"You know Johnson, you know what Johnson does and you know that sooner or later your going to tell me what you know"

Great stuff :)
