I know there are some artists like that, but I know that one of the artists copied is explicitly not this way -- he even has a javascript on his page that keeps you from saving images.

Those are really easy to sidestep. Save the page, open up the directory that comes with the page...

Or just print screen and open up your image manipulator of choice and crop it out. Errr, but you didn't hear that from me.

Regardless that he doesn't have permission to use the art, it's still an awesome campaign setting, with some great sounding ideas. Personally, I'd like to see more of the Techan culture fleshed out, with maybe some unique technologies from each city that the PCs can access. But that'll probably be easy enough to rectify once d20 future comes out.

Go back and look more closely at the website (which is really difficult to crawl into and get the info sought after). There is a pdf: I got it (it is around 20 mb if I remember well).

I would get upset at him if he tried to make money off the work but he is not. It is a free item he worked on & posted. He's not charging a cent for it & even having to pay for the bandwidth. I can't get too upset about that.

Now, that said. I would have liked it if he did ask permission first or at least put an acknowledgement under each pic he used. in addition to listing allthe artists as well as their websites.....
