Uncle Bear and The Dire Cafe are pleased to announce the 2nd Annual Let Me Tell You About My Paladin Day, July 4th, 2008
It started with an innocent enough comment in a forum. A picture was posted of an actor best known for playing an alien, but out of makeup. Someone mentioned that he looked like someone who wanted to tell you about his paladin. Thing went rapidly downhill after that, and a meme was born.
How to Participate
There are three ways you, as an individual, can participate:
1. Post a story, whether it's a true anecdote of grognard-dom or a big fish story, about a paladin character in the roleplaying game of your choice. We'd like you to post to The Dire Cafe, but any participating blog or forum will do.
2. Post a paladin character you've written up in the roleplaying system of your choice. You can write it as text or upload a character sheet. Again, we'd like to see you post at The Dire Cafe, but any participating forum or blog will do.
3. Create a lolcats-like "Let Me Tell You About My Paladin" graphic along the lines of the dozens posted http://direcafe.ning.com/photo/album/show?id=709453%3AAlbum%3A8513]here.
How Your Forum or Blog Can Participate
This is pretty informal. Post a link to the Paladin Day Participants Group and let us know who you are. Include a link. We'll post a collection of participants a few days prior to the event.
