Another poll without an option that represents my POV. How about "I was planning to buy 3.5 books, but now 4E has been announced, I'm not planning to buy any"...

Exactly. Seems like such an obvious response that its omission from the poll is idiotic.

It's completely shut it down.

4e means my 3.5e stuff just gained an "Expires by ..." date on it. No need to waste money on out-dated stuff.

Hmm where's the option for " I still plan on buying the products I was already interested in for 3.5, but no others, and the announcement had zero effect on my purchasing plans?"

I am not going to buy things I wasn't otherwise interested in because of the announcement, and the announcement will not deter me form purchasing products I had already planned on buying.

Poll worked for me. I wasn't planning on buying any 3.5 books in the forseeable future, and now that 4e has been announced, I'm still not planning on it.

Whether I'll buy 4e is still an open question.

Count me in on that as well. It's kind of strange to think that I won't be buying anything from WotC for, what, eight months? I think that may be just about the longest time I haven't bought anything from them since I started playing back in the late 70s... Kind of makes me sad.

A lot more books.

I purchased a whole schwack of Goodman's DCCs (which I only find mediocre, but passable) that I had not planned to buy, and there will be a bunch more DCCs purchased as well when they come out.

Since my group isn't converting to 4e, we can always use more 3e adventures!

I was planning a few purchases, but since I will probably move quickly to 4E (or at least buy those books when they go out), I stopped buying 3.5E books entirely. I wouldn't be surprised if RPG companines have a hard time in the next couple of months.
Don't forget that WOTC promised to provide conversion documents for everything published in 2007. Yeah, it will probably only be through D&DI, but at least it'll all be useable.

I will not be buying any more 3.5 material. 4e has got me very interested and when the new edition goes live dungeon, dragon (through the DI) and even pathfinder will be 4e and I rely on that kind of stuff in running my games...

Eberron

I was just pricing Eberron material in Amazon market place and I added up that I could pick up a ton of books for about $30 sans shipping. That's amazing.
