When taking into consideration the balance issues inherent in the design process as role-playing games, and D&D in particular is and was developed one has to wonder in comparison to mechanics and stat blocks. With everyone in the know there needs to be more or less the same rationale of thought and that goes without saying. Many agree or think otherwise. Much of the debate on sides that are ill-defined or inconceivable to not only the average player but generally the en masse flexibility of both the in-crowd and other parts of several independently.

I'm not in a position with all of the hubbub and inuendo that is often the case in situations where circumstances are vague or fuzzy without proper definitions and clear delineation. So several of the topics, vis-a-vis the broken Ranger, the spells such as harm, resurection, the various summon effects and their ilk, and a number of the magical items that most people have mentioned in passing or in particular. With all of the discussion being bandied about and put forth as either rumor or in the brief snippets of information being either leaked through official channels or perhaps teased to the public to gain a forthcoming of thought among those who may or may not be interested in the future of the hobby as it stands to date.

Shazizzle?

Balance, and issues of its ilk, though very much on the forefront of this most important of topics concerning everything d20, are not all that is, or will in the future be, discussed in the time it takes for this change, and the ripple effect that comes of it, to come about.

It would seem to me that the 3.5 movement was in fact not brought forth to subjugate, nor to alienate, the existing d20 populous, as this would not lie within the bounds of preference for those who would rather see such a thing prosper. Indeed, the end rarely justifies the means, and is it worth removing the leg to simply save the foot? Is change always necessary? No, not always, but there comes a time when change is both relevant and, when placed in the context in which it is most appropriate to the user in question.

Speculations concerning the whyfores and wherenots of the nomenclature for such a movement are somewhat unreasonable, even if not completely expected from the masses. Such is at the same time, both quite trivial and terrible important, and therefore should be decided forthright so that further speculation concerning the body of the movement itself, along with all of the rumors and innuendos, verified or not.

The effects to community at large, including but not to confined to, the user, the creator, the retailer, as well as others associated in any way to the hobby in general, is as yet unknown, and though speculation abounds, and similar past experience is brought forth and discussed in media such as this congregation and others, as well as chat rooms and magazines and talk about the gaming table, logic dictates that such arguments can only be inconclusive until such time that said changes are, in fact, brought about.

My hate of 3.05 know no limit.
Here we go again, the rise of the RPG Bigots. :p

If you don't want the revised edition, then don't buy it. But you can't stop me from buying it. No hatred in the world will stop me from using my God-given gifts of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and if buying the revised edition will bring me happiness, you cannot stop me. Oh, no, you cannot stop me!

Amen!

I must say this all shows a brillance of a level that is equal to the level of confusion of the level of... ummm... I was going somewhere with this... Well all in all this is art.

The sheer arrogance of your statement needs to get the facts right. It is obvious that artifacts such as stat blocks are a result of development suggesting that the alignment system was broken, and to suggest otherwise is the whole point at the heart of the matter which was the case with 2nd edition's splatbooks.

You have missed the point of the ignorance and stupid in which WotC has provided us. Even if the freely available download was capitalist in the theory of the marketing of the hype of the buzzword, they have sunken to such depths as to involve Anthony Valterra coming over and burning all my books and Monte Cook tapdancing on my dog whilst demanding the Arcana Unearthed be replaced with the 3.5 as a reasonable alternative core. Twice, already!

Ha! How is it any better than the alt.Ranger which is being used without the errata expected only few years after the game was released? Even if the CR is compatible with the increased power levels in the uncertainty that there will be epic levels, there is no sign that they are making us use official miniatures even when we weren't already doing so!

WotC doesn't care about that because they understand that the future of being forced to convert modules for hundreds of hours on end.
