D&D 3E/3.5 (3.5) Cleric domain feats.

I need help understand this from the Complete Champion book :

In addition, you can choose to give up access to a domain
n exchange for the corresponding domain feat. Doing so
allows you to select up to three domain feats, but you cannot
prepare domain spells or use the granted power of the sacri:)
ficed domain. In essence, you trade in a domain for an extra
eat slot that you can spend only on a specific domain feat
For example, the above cleric of Pelor could choose to give
up the granted power and spells of the Good domain for the
Good Devotion feat.

Does that mean I can take 1 level of cleric with my scout to get Travel feat x3, but lose the spellcasting ?

Also, what are the other classes that offer domains?

Thanks

You can't take a feat more than once unless it says you can. And the only other classes that give domains are prestige classes. Check Complete Divine, should be a lot there, maybe some in C.Champion, too. I remember Contemplative being a good PrC for getting domains.

Travel Devotion lets you burn Turn Undead uses/day to use the feat more the same day, so you don't need to take it multiple times anyway. Take Extra Turning if you need to instead.

Travel can be taken more than once, but my question was can I get it 3 times without using normal feats just by getting one level of cleric. My guess is you can't, but I would like more explanations.

You can exchange domains for the corresponding devotion feats and nothing else. For example, if you have the travel and law domains by virtue of your cleric level, you could exchange those for travel devotion and law devotion. A Cloistered Cleric would net you knowledge as a 3rd domain, which you could exchange for knowledge devotion. Nice set that, actually!

just to clarify: the awenser is no, you don't gain 3 copies of Travel devotion.
When they say that the clerics can have 3 domain feats, is because anybody can take two different domain feats (they can take those same two feats more then once, like taking Law devotion 3 times and Travel devotion 2 times). Clerics can trade the whole domain (granted power and spells) for a domain feat, thus having an additional domain. You can't take the travel domain as one of your domains and choose the travel devotion feat as the other domain. its either 1 copy of travel devotion OR the travel domain granted power and domain spells.

AS explained above, a single level dip in cleric may provide you with two (or three if its the C.cleric) different bonus devotion feats at the cost of losing the ability to prepare any domain spells in your domain slot (unless you later acquire another domain in a PrC). But the dip into cleric only grants you one copy of any single domain feat.

of course you can always expend turn undead to fuel your feats.
