Hey, I'm pretty sure I am posting this in the right section, but if not please move it to the right section.
I am a novice DM looking for 1-2 extra players for my new campaign or a dark and gritty nature set in the Moonsea region of Faerun using Maptool.
What follows is a cut and paste of my recruitment post to RPtools, which can be found on the RPtools webside under Looking for group\Dungeons and Dragons\ 3.5 Dungeons and Dragons Forgotten realms campaign. I cannot post links to this site yet. My email address is also in this topic multiple times, I do not know if i can post it here.
Here goes:
I am looking to start a campaign set in the Moonsea region of Faerun, as it was at the time of the 3.5 FR campaign setting, under the D&D 3.5 ruleset.

As the campaign is set in the Moonsea region, players will need access to either the Mysteries of the Moonsea (MotM) book or read the relevant information in the Campaign setting. I will be using msinly homebrew adventures (as the first adventure will be), but may use some of the adventures out of MOtM in case of time constraints. Players will also require the FR Campaign setting, and the FR players handbook, along with the 3.5 PH.

As I intend to run a campaign with a focus on narrative and storytelling over a hack-em-up, players swill need to be willing to engage in s narrative storyline and supply background information to ground their character in the campaign and the Moonsea region. As the Moonsea region is of a darker and more morally ambiguous nature than most of the Realms, this campaign will involve mature themes in its plot-lines (torture, slavery, human[oid] trafficking, narcotics smuggling etc.).

Character Creation:
Starting Level: 1
Books needed: PH, FRCampaign Setting, FR Players guide, and Mysteries of the Moonsea (optional, see text).
Books allowed: 3.5 PH, PH2, FRPG, (any others email me and I'll see).
Races: All standard (PH and FRCS), no level adjusted races as players (such as drow, duregar from FRCS, see text). Humans will need an ethnicity and all races will need a region of origin (see FRPG, see text below).
Classes: all PH except for monk (see text), PH2 classes will need to be checked by me for appropriateness to the campaign and region.
Stat points: standard array (25pts)
Starting Wealth= 150gp or 75gp + regional equipment (FRPG).
Alignment: preferably from the neutral line (see text), although good alignments are accepted.
Bacground (important): see below

Thus player will also need to be of a mature disposition when dealing with the campaign world. Characters will need to be able to fit into the setting, and for that reason I would advise characters to be of the neutral gamut of alignments, although good characters will also be accepted (but must be prepared for the harsh realities and uncaring nature of the land and its (particularly urban) inhabitants). Think of the party as more of a band of mercenaries than adventurers. Characters must build into their background a reason for being in the Moonsea (having a couple of characters from the region would flavor the campaign immensely). Race wise, remember humans are by far the dominant race in the area. Other races from the PH and FRCS can be used (except for ones needing level adjustments, I'm, new to this and don't want to over complicate myself). Remember that the Moonsea can be rather xenophobic towards non-humans, so expect racism and even outright hostility for the non-human PCs. The same goes towards spell-casters not aligned to the dominant arcane powers in the region and clerics worshiping gods outside of the norm (Baal, Xism etc being the norm)to face difficulties including hostility in the Moonsea region, and may have to hide their abilities/allegiances. Fighters, rouges, barbarians and rangers are all common in this mercenary realm. The only core class I will not allow is the monk, as they would be incredibly rare in the area and would most likely avoid mercenary groups (if you want to play a monk and can convince me he/her will fit in to the setting, that's cool.) Feats, classes, skills, spells etc must be drawn from either the PH or FR Campaign setting/ Forgotten realms PH to begin with, other opportunities may arise later in the piece.

Most important thing for character design is to adhere to the narrative nature of the campaign, all character should have their strengths and weaknesses, a plausible back-story and personality, and role within the group, the campaign and the region at large. If you are accepted, please do not make powerplay overkill characters just there to waste monsters, combat will be important in this setting , but storytelling is far more of a priority. If that isn't your playing style, adjust or find another campaign (don't mean to be rude, I just don't want the narrative-in-construction hijacked by someone who only cares about XP and killing.)

I hope to run this campaign to around the 10th level and then emigrate the campaign to the regions detailed in the Unapproachable East source book, where the overarching plot elements involving the Red Wizards of Thay will come into the limelight. Please email me (see top of post). with any questions. Interested players, please don't develop a character until you are accepted. If you are interested, send me an email with your characters class, race, and most importantly background outlined in a couple of short paragraphs. I will get back to everyone once I have found a suitable party of 4 to start with. Please only apply if you are serious in playing the campaign through and are available on Thursday/Friday at:

Fri 1-2 Pm UTC+13 (that's for New Zealand, where i come from it equals to Thur 7pm UTC-5 (USA, New York) or midnight Thursday for the UK)
(you will need to make a time conversion to see if you are available or not, I tried to place it at a time suitable for most.)

Sorry about the length of this, I just want to outline everything and let people know what they are in for. Sorry also for my spelling and grammar, I had time constraints when writing this. Here's to a hopefully great campaign.
