3.5 DM Screen is aggravating

I think it is crap. Skill information is about 80% of the screen. I'd rather have stuff like random items or name generators. Kalamar's random box and barrel content is great for instance.

I can make up names, but I need to look up and calculate jump distances and cover modifiers. A screen without that stuff is the useless screen.

I saw this DM screen kind of useful, but even more of an advertisement for their upcoming miniatures line.

And for $1 you expect?

Wait a minute, am I the only one who thinks it's a massive improvement over the 3.0 screen? What I paid good money for and never use because nothing I want to know is on it?

The 3.5 Screen has all sorts of stuff I seem to need to know all the time. 3.0 has "Access to Spells", and "Skills That Can Be Used Untrained". Yeah, that's the sort of thing I really need to know in the middle of a game session. What? I need Jump distances and Influencing NPCs, stuff like that.

Well, maybe it's just me. I bought Dragon 310 (my first Dragon in probably fifteen years) just for the screen and I'm pretty happy with it.

I'm content that I got my money's worth. It has the charts I need and skips the useless ones, like the reprint of the complete skill chart and the weapon information chart. The Provokes AoO information on the skills section and the Actions chart are worth it enough for me to make it my main screen, though I'll happily start using the 3.5 Kalamar screen when it comes out.

Best of all, I like the artwork on the front of the valiant heroes being defeated by the fiend they attacked. My "Inspiration Screen" I call it.
