Use Rope +4 (+6 binding)

Ick, they're keeping the Use Rope skill? Well I can at least hope that they'll get rid of Intuit Direction...

Maybe they'll add Use Shovel and Use Backpack skills too.

From what I understand, Use Rope is only used when tying somebody up, as an opposed roll to their Escape Artist. This makes sense to me, actually. There are advanced techniques for tying somebody up that are not intuitive. I'd go into more detail about what I know about this, but Eric's Grandmother might not approve...

Intuit Direction, I heard somewhere, is incorporated into Survival.

So the total number of ranks I count is 36? And 4 x (6HD +3) = 36, which is right on. So it does look like the chart in the introductory material of the Fiend Folio is incorrect.

And in Sasp too. Which means my CC3 submission lacks skill points to be actually 3.5-compliant ! Argh ! The devils !

Weapon Finesse has changed -- you no longer have to pick a weapon to apply it to; once you have it, you can apply it to any weapon that qualifies.

Two-Weapon Fighting no longer has Ambidexterity as a prerequisite.

Well, I expected the TWF ruling based on the other d20 games and the scoop from Life's Bazaar but I wasn't figuring on the Weapon Finesse change.

You can actually do a swashbuckler now without 'doing time' for the first several levels.

Too bad one of my players just got through that period with her character. :D

Oh, one other thing layout-wise that might forshadow the 3.5 MM -- as you saw, perhaps, in the table of contents listing in the other thread, monsters and templates are interfiled alphabetically with no separate template appendix.
