I bought my copies of the PHB and the DMG while in Orlando visiting my cousin for two nights of D&D. I got them yesterday at a place called Sci-Fi City and they had tons of all three books on the shelves.

What a great store, just chock full of stuff. I'd heard about it for years, but I never got over there until yesterday.

Eye Tyrant (and others): Are you also getting a copy of the black & white conversion guide when you pick these up?

The place I got the PH from did not have any available.

From what I can tell WotC is NOT giving out copies of this when you purchase the books. I believe they are expect people to download the pdf when it is made available on WotC's site.

When I live in Orlando, I remember when they were over by the Naval base, on some little side street (part of Winter Park I think?)... in a dinky small store.. then they bough the store next door.. then moved into the _BIG_ store... used to play Vamp:Larp there...

They still have the authentic Darth Vader outfit for sale??

I don't remember it being there the last time I was there. But you should see thier new location. I think the store was an old Scotty's Tools and Lumber store. (Like a small Lowes).

I must admit I wasn't looking for Vader, but I am pretty sure he is still there.

I go to SciFi City about once every 6 months since it is an hour drive go get there. I always browse the whole store to see the goodies they have.

The layout changed since I was last there. Lots of gaming tables on the one side, product on the other. I did not get to browse much this time ... they were doing inventory.
