Oh, thought that was intended for the other thread where someone was looking for info on a evil outsider race, and I mentioned the fey'ri as a possibility of what he had in mind.

I don't know... I think a Hellfire Warlock would be cool if the DM let you use Strongheart Vest from Magic of Incarnum to negate the crippling downside of that prestige class. Can just do Warlock / Hellfire Warlock (only a 3 level class) / Rogue. Warlock eventually gets Eldritch Blast damage slowed down, which is stupid, IMO. So around level 12ish (but for the love of god, start the game with 3 levels in Hellfire Warlock and finish up Warlock after :) ), I think switching to Rogue would be good to keep the damage up. Or just dip Swordsage (Tome of Battle) for the Assassin's Stance...

With a Chausible of Fell Power (C.Arcane, I think) to further boost EB damage, I think that could be a viable blaster, and you'd have all the use magic device versatility, too. Best part about Warlock is that they don't need high stats (still nice, of course), in case your rolls turn out poor. No minimum casting stat, pretty easy to avoid save DC invocations, ranged touch is easy to hit by level 14 even with a mediocre dex score, etc...

A Binder/Hellfire Warlock can heal the damage, which is more RAW legal. (Not that the Soulmeld trick isn't necessarily legal..)

The Binder would also be able to use the Dark Speech feat much more effectively.

An update on my current situation: My DM informed me that he would use his second campaign and not his planar campaign. As I want to reserve my current favorite (Ultimate Mage) for the planar campaign, I tried to get his permission on at least the battle sorcerer. Timing issues prevented this before I actually arrived at the meeting. When I was at the game table, I was informed, once the DM looked through his notes: "Oh, we'd actually need someone divine!" What irony... :S In the five minutes I had to decide I settled on the druid. Not sure how good my choice was. It's now only a straight 9th lvl druid, but my DM allowed me more customization afterwards.

Anyway, is there any prestige class for druids I should know about? Especially one focusing on wildshape? I darkly remember having seen once one improving it regarding the number of forms. Also, what feats should I choose? I'm a human and have taken Natural Spell as my first feat of five overall. Think it is good choice for my wildshape. :)

Otherwise, I was thinking about choosing Fiery Blast from Complete Mage to round out my offensive capabilities, but after first proposing to my DM it seems, that he's more inclined to disallow it. He considers it more powerful what a fighter can do (especially once 9th level spells are available) and that it steps too much on the Warlock's feet. He considers it rules breaking, too. What I've gleaned from the first session, it seems that the group's power level is leaning more to core progression and rule changes are judged against it. At least for this particular campaign. Is there any argument what has the chance to convince my DM otherwise or do I really have no chance to use it?
