3.5 PHB in new GE ad!

I just flipped on VH1 and there was a GE ad with the 3.5 PHB in it. Basically, there is a skinny nerdy guy with glasses and a beautiful, stylish woman who are in love and there is a scene where they exchange gifts. The guy opens his gift and it is a 3.5 PHB! I think the ad is for the next generation of GE kitchen appliances and the couple symbolizes the marriage of technology and style.

I didn't necessarily like the reinforcement that D&D is only for nerds, but I also think any kind of exposure is good. Though I consider myself a nerd and am proud of it, I know that there are all kinds of people who play role-playing games. So the stereotype seems a bit out of place today.

Anyhow, I thought it was funny to see the 3.5 PHB in the ad.

It's a good one. I saw it a while ago. Unfortunately, for the most part they are now showing a shorter version of the ad that cuts that scene out. I'm surprised you saw the full thing.

Not to sound like a jerk, but this is quiet possibly the 10th time a thread about this has been created.

That's also a 3.0 PHB, not a 3.5 PHB.

(Course his wife's a model, perhaps the simpler explanations of grappling and AoO's in the 3.5 version would have been better...)
