D&D 3E/3.5 3.5 Psionics.

I personally think that it doesn't make sense to require separate item creation feats for psionics when divine and arcane magic do not require different item creation feats.

Yeah he meant that a cleric can use "craft wand" and a wizard can use "craft wand" but a psion can't use "craft wand" - but needs "craft dorje" or something.

Also, the skills. Knowledge (psionics) instead of Knowledge (arcane); psicraft instead of spellcraft. I just house rule them as one skill each.

It's still easy to go nova. Using three fully augmented powers every round, our party's psion can deplete his pp's extremely fast if he isn't careful. Typically, towards the end of the combat he's either just trying to stay out of trouble, doing nothing or using maintainable powers (telekinesis/energy current, etc.) and items (dorjes, etc.).
I'm not really an optimizer, so maybe I'm just not sure what's going on, but how's he throwing three powers? I can see one as a Standard action and another as a Swift action. What's he as a Move action, though?

Using Schism is the only way I see that as feasible.

Unless you're trying to intentionally misread the way Anticipatory Strike or Synchronicity work (both from CPsi)

there is a power that creates another of you and shares your power pool

remember if your using schism the second power you can cast is going to be very low level and un-augmentable so you would need to be epic to have the 2nd power be a "higher" level power.
