If you have access to it, there's a class called mercenary ranger in AEG's mercenaries that includes a spell-less option.
The class is really sort of a "ranger toolkit" that can be used to build a variety of different rangery classes, and it's quite good. I haven't looked it over for 3.5 compatibility, but it might be worth checking out -- you may find some good swappable features that you can use to replace the casting component.
