3.5 Spellcasting Prodigy and Adjusting to new material

Hi Everyone,

Unfortunately, our group's shipment (3 in total) of the new Player's Guide to Faerun has been delayed and I need to find something out before our next session. As such, I was wondering if they changed the Spellcasting Prodigy feat around. I imagine they would have considering that it effectively gives your character spell focus for all schools (under new 3.5 rules) for very little effort. If anyone can help me out here who already has the book, it would be appreciated.

On a side note, what do you guys do when a book comes out that changes feats and stuff. Do you
1) automatically, go with the new material
2) automatically keep the old material while introducing new material
3) just keep things strictly as it was before.
4) Let people choose something different if it was affected by new material?

We're playing 3.5 and will automatically adjust to any new material. As such, my elvish wizard is most likely about to get nerfed. Tell me the bad news.

Best Regards

Spellcasting prodigy only gives you the psuedo +2 for consideration of bonus spells.

Mostly, consider it and decide if I want to use it or not.

For revisions, if it affects the current game world, it won't come into effect until the next campaign.
