There are tons of bloodlines out there right? So why didnt the Artificer get one thats tuned for it? Am i missing something? Is there teally nothing out there? And dont gimme that load of hooey about the arcane bloodline! Its not the right mix of stuff for an artificer. Isnt there anything like this but ( [3.5e Bloodline] Tinkerer (PEACH) - Giant in the Playground Forums ) for the regular magical artificer that has a similar flavor?

Um, unless I'm missing something, bloodlines were connected to race, having some creature in your family history, and not connected to any class. They benefited classes, sure, but not about classes.

I could be missing something though, so feel free to correct me.

Yeah...

Are we talking about the bloodlines as presented in the Unearthed Arcana? If so, please note that every single one of those is tied to a specific race. There is nothing there that denotes class. Sure, some races may be better suited toward specific classes, but that is not the focus of a bloodline.

In Pathfinder, Sorcerers have a bloodline, which ties into their ancestry and helps define their abilities - but I don't think that is what you are asking.

So, in looking at the example you provided, I have to say that you are indeed looking at the first option... And, I would have to say that there is nothing like what you are looking for in official published materials (given that your example is not actually a racial bloodline but a hybrid - which is not the spirit of bloodlines as presented in the UA).

If this is something you really really want/need, then I think you will have to roll your own. (You might find something in a 3rd party source out there, but I don't recall anyone actually doing anything with bloodlines.)

Also, UA was published early in 3.5. The ECS, which first premiered the Artificer, was released several years later. Unless WotC devs are precognitive (which I doubt, given the relative failure of 4e), I doubt anyone even had plans to create an Artificer class when UA was penned...
