D&D 3E/3.5 3.5 Wilding Clasp?

Did the Wilding Clasp (from Masters of the Wild, p. 30) make it into 3.5? If not, what is a good way to prevent your Periapt of Wisdom from going away when you wildshape? Is it feasible to make a magic necklace that just resizes to the wearer's necksize when they change?

If the Periapt does go away, you need to remove any unused bonus spells that the extra wisdom gave you right? And they are still gone when your wisdom goes back up (when you change back to normal form)? Tracking which spells are the bonus ones seems like a hassle...

AFAIK, the Wilding Clasp never made it to 3.5. I think the main reason is that it seems that the designers are more lenient towards the idea of many items remaining usable in wild shape form. If I recall correctly, one of the Rules of the Game articles on the WotC website has a list of items that the DM is recommended to allow to retain their normal form/function while worn by a wildshaped druid.
