D&D 3E/3.5 [3.5E] Bow & Arrows plusses don't stack anymore!

Hi everybody,
over at Andy Collins boards I found this thread in which a guy named Hawker mentions his findings from Dungeon 100. Obviously the magic bonus from bows and arrows don't stack anymore.
Andy Collins himself gives congrats to the guy for his sharp eyes and says that Hawker's right!!!
What do you think about this?

Good. It was asinine that Clerics could GMW and get +10 to hit/damage on every arrow by casting two spells.

I hope the new GMW does not stop at gving a maximum bonus of +5 ( @ caster level 20 ) so you can get epic magic bonuses during your epic levels.

Archers, Slingers and Crossbowmen are still cool... this change is fine with me.

Well rather then having a 3rd-4th level spell that gives epic level weapons eventualy, it would probably make more sense to create a new higher level spell with a higher cap.
