3 more questions about nonstandard race PCs...

I tried playing a tiefling rogue in an otherwise all-dwarf party!
When I was second level I had 8 hit points.
The dwarven wizard, 3rd level, was the next in line, hp-wise.
He had 24

Thank you! Man, I'm going to have a 5th lvl (effectively) PC with 10 hit points! Good thing that race has 10/+2 DR.

yeah better hope nothing does 15 pts of dmg ...

A bog-standard ogre with a greatclub (CR 2) can do 19 points of damage with one hit. This PC had better learn to snipe from a distance, DR or no DR.
