3E? 4E? PF? Trailblazer.

Cool. Sounds like a good system you've made there. I have and love Grim Tales; I'll definitely be picking up Trailblazer as well.

Ben

Yes.

You can escape a grapple by either making a combat maneuver roll (usually, your BAB+STR+size) or an Escape Artist roll, either of which would be compared against the defender's Combat Maneuver Defense (Touch AC+BAB+STR+size).

The Escape Artist route would replace skill ranks for BAB, and replace DEX for STR, both of which should improve your odds for anything other than a halfling STR-build fighter.

Still no love for my favorite goofy easter egg. I'm waiting for someone to find it.
Will you ever point it out? I'm curious to see it.

I recently got my physical copy. My wife was anxious to see what is inside my Amazon package. I opened it and showed her the book. . . .

Now, she's in design, but she used to be a production editor for a book publisher. She took one look at the print and said, "Font FAIL!"

I laughed. I told her that the font choice had to have been an intentional choice to evoke the AD&D PHB which used that font. To which she replied . . . "Oh, that's cool then." Ah, the value of nostalgia in the subtlest ways. Maybe not an easter egg . . . but I felt like I "got" something hidden there.

Brad said the same thing. That design argument, I won.

You got it!

Now if she was talking about the font size...
