3rd Edition Classic Dungeon Crawl

"I be having a feelin it might be easier to fight the troll than to give that one a bath." Vanlail laughs

"Since it seems we be going to the same place it might be wise to be teamin up. I may not be good with an axe but I have trained in the arcane arts. What you all say?"

OOC- I have been having a little difficulty getting onto the boards for the last few days

OOC: Same here. So If I miss my post at least every 10 hours mark, its because of the forums, unless I post in the thread saying im unable to

Bathtime

OOC: I really hope I'm not the one breaking the boards. It seems like I can log on fine, but the second I try to open more than one thread at a time or reply everything breaks down. Boo. I really hope this posts.

Tiptoe scratches the back of his neck, flicking off a few crumbs that have accumulated over the last few months.

A bath... soaking in warm water wouldn't be so bad, I guess. It's been... well... a long time. Seems a waste of perfectly good water, but if they care I guess I don't mind.

"A bath? Yessir, yessir," he stammers out, nodding quickly and with great enthusiasm. Tiptoe has no fear of the water, nor love of his scent, though the years have caused any previous discomfort he's had to dissipate.

Odd, though, that dwarves would worry about smell. My father always smelled worse than anything, especially when drunk, but they drink down their ale without care...
It's probably just an excuse to go without me. Well, I'll go with or without them, if I must, but I know that together we could work better still. Hunting alone is foolish when there are friends about.

"I'll go... where can I find you?"

{after finding out, I'll politely and humbly ask the pwetty lady to show me to a bath}

{I'm assuming that the rats were told to leave me alone as you were roleplaying as I would have... they'll go hunting or something for tonight's meal, I suppose. I wouldn't really imagine that the two would be waiting at the town hall all this time }

After my ale I go an sign the "emplyment form" for the cavern. I will then spend the rest of the day in the inn drinking waiting for responses from my request to join up.

(OOC Labor day weekend here, I may not respond much)

OoC: THat's okay, I understand the lack of posts!

After all is done, the companions meet in the bar, ready to continue. THe caverns are about a 2 hours walk from the town to the north.

The head out (after getting any last minute supplies that may be necessary) with some of the children fallowing them for the first 15 minutes of the trip. Because of the slow pace of the dwarves, the party actually reaches their destination in about 2 1/2 hours... but there is still light in the sky, though it will be dark in 2-3 hours.

Looking at the cave, it seems that the enterence has had a lot of activity over the years. There's a distinct path leading to the enterance and into the hillside. The enterance itself looks like a natural cave about 10' wide with the same height at it's zenith.

"Well, here we be. E'eryone ready? Good. Guess I'll be headin in first. Stay close behind."

Dagart will head into the cave first, his weapon in hand.

"Well, I need a good line of sight for my spells, so Im second"
Khaz draws his crossbow, and follows the dwarf into the caves.

I grip my staff and head in behind Khaz.

"Well I guess we aint be one of them stealthy groups." says Vanlail.

Sneak is perched on my shoulders scanning around.
