4.0

I know its early and i have seem to be hearing enough to get my curiosity sparked. so.... do we know ANYTHING thats going on with 4.0 like what are they fixing or changing or what direction they are going in? I am prettty stisfied with 3.5 i do believe that there are things that they can fix but for the most part 3.5 is pretty solid. I have been playing D&D for like 5 years not a long time but i dont think im quitting any time soon : ) but my real big thing is change, whats changing from 3.5 to 4.0? which brings me to my original question, do we know ANYTHING thats going on with 4.0?

To my knowledge nothing official has ever been said about 4th edition. People bring it up every once and a while and speculate on it, but we have no actual information, nor even a hint that any information will be leaked any time soon.

There is no fourth edition!! There may be at some point but right now nothing has been said about it by Wizards. Everything floating around about 4th edition has been made up and repeated.

well then what would the changes be IF they were going to make a 4.0? what would you change?

I would skip right to 4.5

If you go to the bottom of the main page, and click on the Category drop-down, and then click on 4E, you can see all the 4E threads for the past month. If you change the amount of time, you can see all the 4E threads EVER.

I think you'll find there's been a lot of discussion of this in the past and a lot you can sink your teeth into.

We know that it will excite some folks and disappoint others. We know that there will be unfortunate typos and minor errors that get by the editors and that some people will post about this like it's the end of the world.

But, none of that is really about 4e, it's about people. So, no, we don't know anything.

If they adopted Star Wars Saga as a base line and made some good changes to make it fit D&D that would be great. IT is different enough to really be a different game while the rules are not such a radical change to make conversion a bitch.
