Though I prefer to avoid exalted stuff all together, the saint is expecially problematic. You're supposed to EARN it, not just start with it because you want it. The book even explains it has an artificially LOW LA because of the RP restrictions which are supposed to go along with earning it. Simply letting someone start with it is a mistake.

For the rogue wizard, I believe you can go rogue1/wizard5/daggerspell1/Arcanetrickster5 as the quickest way.

By the way, I'm of the oppinion that the Vow is fair in a normal wealth game following the guidelines in the DMG. The options that they lose balance out the powers that they gain in exchange, IMO. I have never actually tried it, however, so take that with a grain of salt.

Arcane trickster is pretty good.
A nice trick is to start at one level of rogue, then five levels of wizard, followed by one level of assassin. Then move into arcane trickster. You have to spend a lot of your skill points getting into the PrC's, but it's worth it to not lose that one more level of spellcasting class. With two levels of non spellcaster you're just one spell level behind, With three levels you're 1.5, which is practically two levels behind... and much less powerful. You don't even have to be evil, just evil enought to get into the PrC, so evil for a month or so. Or, if you'd like, you can come up with some other way to learn the basics of the assassin class without even that much evil. It's only one level.

Things to do with the AT.
Any spell that does direct damage with a to hit roll. Because that way you can get your sneak attack on. So touch attacks and ranged touch attacks are your best bets spell wise.

Improved initiative is pretty important, as are/can be feats to help with ranged attacks (point blank shot and precise shot).

You might, for fun, pick up a light mithril shield or buckler. No spell failure and no armor check penalty.

There are lots of other little tricks. ^_^

You probably confuse the daggerspell with some other PrC, as it does not get Sneak Attack at 1st level.

Shadow Thief of Amn would work, tho.

If your favored class is wizard (elf, half-elf, human), you can be Rogue 1 / Spellthief 1 or Rogue 1 / ninja 1.

I like both. Spellthief makes sense for a rogue/wizard and ninja... well ninjas are always cool. :)
