The only thing that might make a difference is that I fully expect there to be a LOOOOT of 3E chatter still going on even after 4E's release, enough to make one thread of 3E and 4E very impractical. But again, nothing's set in stone yet, or worth worrying about for a while.Deset Gled said:I honestly don't think any changes are necessary. The only forums right now that are version-specific are the 4e news forum and the d20/OGL/nonD+D forum. Everything else is general, and you will find discussion about all versions of D+D in them. Nothing changed when 3.5 came around. There's no reason to think we can't shift to 4e just as easily.

OR, 4E stuff becomes the new "D&D" forum, with 3E becoming the "3E and earlier" D&D forum. It will be driven entirely by traffic control needs, of that I'm certain, same as it always has, rather than breaking out forums just because they're neat little categories, and have a bunch of "dead" forums as a result.
Final decision is Russ', of course, but we're still a few months off from giving it serious thought, really.
