There should also be an equivalent when talking about RPG art and saying it's too "anime".
True. "Anime" seems to be the new "videogame".

Also, Remathilis, your sig is getting a bit too long to read.

I think the Bioware folks said at some point (don't have a link, so I might have imagined it) that they're sticking to their own IPs for the nonce. I don't know how NWN2 did sales-wise but I know that it was rushed out the door. I wouldn't mind seeing a NWN3 someday that had an online multiplayer component as strong as NWN1's was.

Don't forget, that NWN2 wasn't made by Bioware, it's from Obsidian.

Cheers, LT.

I would like to see one set in Eberron but not the current MMORPG. Something with the ability to run a character or a few, maybe something that highlight's the setting's history/style, maybe a mystery that needs to be solved -- D&D Gumshoe type deal. Actually maybe a NWN but for Eberron is what I have in mind....

edit: Actually, with Sharn as "3D" as it is, maybe I'd like to see something along the lines of a 1st person/3rd person shooter (not really a "shooter" though). Something along the lines of the Jedi Knight games. I always enjoyed running around in 3D environments as a Jedi, particularly in settings like Corruscant where you could knock opponents off of ledges, jump up or down to get to places, etc.

I'm imagining a Rogue, Swordsage or Warlock in Sharn, themed similar to the Thief games ... that would rule. You'd be an all-day, all-the-time sneaker / sniper, and everyone else would be standard D&D characters.

Wow. Someone write that game immediately. :)

Thanks, -- N

The MMO isn't public knowledge yet, but... no. :)

Be cool to see somebody implement the rules, though. Who knows -- maybe the "conversation-as-combat" system will make for more exciting (and rules-based) dialogue exchanges. I like BioWare dialogue, but it doesn't mix well with 3e conversation skills as a general rule.
