That i the only one I would play from 1-30.

You can lift this from me if you want. I've attached the handout for my homebrew that I intend to use to go from 1-30. Of course, it's a WIP since it's only just starting, so I don't have adventure paths and the like to send your way I do plan to yak about it a whole heck of a lot over on my blog as it progresses though.

Actually, it would be kind of interesting to see what would happen if someone ran with the same premise but developed a different campaign arc from it...

The Heroic modules are very poorly done in my opinion. He was asking for a good one.

You missed my point. He might have been asking for a good one, but I merely pointed out that there are very few to choose between, ergo he might not have the luxury of considering quality much, if he wants one that is fully written and published. As to the quality, HPE has some problems, but its not hopeless. PoS is by far the worst of the 9, IMO.

But as a player I really dont like to "Know" anything about the campaign.

Thats why asking, but are you saying its good ?

It is very good. Heavily focused on story and character as opposed to dungeon crawls and the "grind" people keep referring to. Currently, 6 out of the 12 adventures (originally written for 3.5) have been converted to 4th edition.

What I’m doing in a campaign I’m running is using the WotC modules as drop-ins for my story arc along with bits from the Dungeon Delve book and a couple of LFR modules and the Weekend in the Realms adventure. I actually base it around “The Radiant Vessel of Thesk” adventure as the campaign starting point. Up until that time they were just meeting and establishing their characters in minor activities and finding their way. The party’s heroics get noticed by the “Thayan Liberation Front” while in Aglarond, and they’re recruited to join and help bring about the overthrow of Ssaz Tam. The Radiant Vessel adventure is their first real one in the campaign story arc.

I gutted “Pyramid of Shadows” and only had it trap them for a single level worth of encounters as I used other stuff around it. In the second Radiant Vessel module, they actually screwed up the power transfer to the boy, but the old man was able to transfer it to the Warlord on another attempt (free Deva Heritage feat and a daily radiant power). You know that’s going to come back to haunt him.

They’re now paragon and in the Trollhaunt Warrens. When they complete the module there will be a catoplebas encounter (just because I love that bad boy) as a harbinger to something around Against The Giants and using a ship to get the Warlord a little use of his Sword Coast Corsair Paragon path.

It’s not as strict as running the modules as written, and I can easily ignore or re-write encounters and bits I don’t like since it doesn’t have to lead as written to their next module. I bought the gargantuan Orcus yesterday so level 29-30 is going to be about defeating the Thayan Lich Lord and the final battle will be against Orcus himself. Until that time it’s pretty flexible but mostly uses the WotC modules/maps/encounters.

All I did was write out the basic cell structure of the “freedom fighters” and a contact or two and tie stories in as needed. I think it’s working pretty well so far. A nice combination of homebrew and published.

I agree with joebobodo. I'm playing in a War of the Burning Sky campaign currently, and I think the design is terrific. (We're in the middle of the second module.) While it has interesting story and characters and role-playing and stuff, it also has some really well-designed fights. At the end of each of the last two sessions, I decided to try to copy one of the encounters for the game I'm running because they were great fights with interesting tactical stuff.

Depending on your burn rate (i.e. how quickly you get through modules), you might be able to play through the whole campaign without waiting, because new modules will be out by the time you finish the current ones.

Hey the maps of the second module there are fantastic. Just looking at them I've been inspired as to how to run an entire module in one of my upcoming campaigns.

Wont be until about 2011 that we start the new campaign.
War of the Burning Sky looks good and this DM like it spicy.

The current DM with SOW likes TV dinners, rack em up and dish em out.
