4E Druid Info

Yeah I am hoping the Shaman has Spirit-Animals under his command, as well as lots of "Riding Spirits" to work in his Leader Roles, ie; you give a ally a additional attack by letting a Spirit ride him that will attack an enemy that comes near. For moving the enemy around and such, or simply dealing out damage could also have Spirits ride them... But for less beneficial reasons :P

You might all have seen the news about this already, but since we were discussing it in this thread earlier today, I think it bears repeating here, now that it's official:

According to the December Editorial Calendar, on 1 December 2008, DDI subscribers will have access to a Druid playtest!

Presumably, this means that in ten days, we're going to know a-hell-of-a-lot more about the Druid. Even if you're not a subscriber, I imagine details and discussions of the Druid will leak out onto the boards pretty quickly.

(although one of the two letters is likely wrong as A wasn't one of the given letters and Avenger is an almost given as one the Divine classes now).
I have a theory about that.

See, people thought "I" = Inquisitor, a divine striker, and "T" = Theurge, a divine controller. The fact that Inquisitor was a really dumb name didn't seem to faze them.

I think that, in actual fact, "T" used to stand for something like Templar, a divine striker, and that this is the class which changed its name to Avenger. I think "I" was always Invoker, a divine controller.
