Some ideas

I love the quicksand/bog idea and more for the forest/jungle. Would like to see more changes in elevations for outdoor encounters too. If given the chance wouldn't ambushers take higher and/or protected ground.

Also what about a unique gladiatorial pit (with moving pillars etc to change heights).

Chase scene for the city. Done with interesting encounters and things to do for the chase.

A unique tavern. (very generic of course but how often are they used ;))?

A halfling river barge.

Could incorporate dragonborn background into canyon enc.

Tiefling ruins. Elven tree homes, with ropes, rope bridges, 'elevators' etc.

Or are these too general. Are you after specific parts of these? Probably, but at least you can use the rope bridges right there ;).

What about an 'unliving garden' where plants have been morphed with humans, such that you have growing arms and faces i trunks etc. I would love this for the Garden of Eternity for the 2E Necromancers Handbook - mini campaign that looks like it will be the onclusion of one of my campaigns :)

A trapped 'being' and what the PCs ca do to stop it being released.

How's that for now?

Something that occurs to me. This might be more suitable for another project, but:

Not necessarily a site so much as a convention. The inevitable "Hold the line" of some enemy forces coming through a hole in the defenses, coming out of a portal, etc. How would you handle that, from a mechanical point? How do you make it look nicer than just "Stand there, anyone that comes through you get an OA on."

I also really like the idea of a monster you have to climb all over, because it's the size of a small mountain. But that's a little too specific for this.

So, when can we expect this book? I'm hoping to get it by next weekend.

No ETA... it'll be done when its done ;)

Although I can definately say that it'll not be out by next weekend... although I might have a preview ready by then... anything in particular you'd like to see? ;)

PS: Sorry I haven't posted the last few days... I was watching my niece and then got bushwhacked by a sinus infection that left me a bit out of it.

So you'd like some rules for "taking the high ground?" ;)

Cool idea... I'll add it to the list ;)

I'll have to think about how to do this one as a backdrop, but I do see lots of possibilities for it ;)

Tavern is definately on the list.

A halfling river barge.

Good idea.

Yeah, I'm going to see what I can do with the races in regards to these backdrops perhaps give a few recommendations...

That reminds me Treetop village might be a good backdrop.

Rope bridges are definately in ;)

Wow... that's creepy... I'll look into adding something like this ;)

A trapped 'being' and what the PCs ca do to stop it being released.

Or release it? ;)

How's that for now?

Thanks for the ideas they are greatly appreciated ;)

Honestly, I think the Infernal/Far Realms "gate" might facilitate that enough, with some jiggering. :)

Actually, now I'm worried that you have too much stuff! You might have to start weeding a few out at this point. Otherwise, the pagecount might be harmed.

Yeah this one is definately an interesting design challenge... If I can fit it in somewhere I might try my hand at it...

Yeah that would be cool... but probably a bit beyond the scope of this project. Still I've always thought it would be could to design a Gargantuan (4e term) monster with its own ecology (outside and inside).
