I don't know if someone else has brought this up before, but what happens with humans? Do they take an at-will from each class? i.e. Human Ranger/Warlord- do I pick one extra from Ranger and one extra from Warlord?

Also, in light of the new hybrid rules in PHB3, should those also be banned as you've banned multiclass feats? I'm showing this to my DM; we might test it out with classes from the PHB3, and maybe I can let you know if anything's broken and if it works with psionic powers.

With the PH3 now coming to light, I would suggest one or two things in regards to this.

1) use the Power points for hybrids options to add "extra" power points for characters gestalting 2 psionic classes. That way, you still get the +1/2 effect and don't make them so powerful as to go most encounters with fully augmented attacks.

2) Consider a revision in which the gestalts are just full classes with a hybrid attached. Characters can take hybrid talent for their hybrid option and still have full utilization of their other class. (though this would be almost a rewrite on the presented rules)

In answer to omerta's question, based on the Rules presented here, I'd say humans can pick an extra power from either class and half-elves can pick a power from neither.

Humans can only choose 1 additional At-Will but this may be chosen from either class. I have edited the rules to reflect that. They may also choose 1 additional skill, this also may be chosen from either class.

Hybrid rules are not compatible with Elite Hero Rules.

The rules have been edited to reflect these new changes.

This is one way to do it, my only fear is that this might handicap the character playing an Elite Hero. An Elite Hero is 2 character's squished into one, it should have the ability to use powers as 2 characters might.

I would recommend that if a character chooses 2 psionic classes that you essentially add the power points into one giant pool of points. Each time that character takes a turn and augments a power it removes points from the pool. Two non-psionic classes have access to multiple encounter powers, it is only fair that a character who chooses two - psionic classes is not penalized.

Also, it should be known I have not tested the psionic rules, nor this option I have just mentioned.

This would be correct.

Now that Battlerager has been nerfed... it might actually be appropriate for Elite heros to use the original BRV ;-).

I have re-added the Temporary Hit Point rules into Elite Heroes.

Anytime a power would target multiple allies and allow each of them to gain temporary hit points, then an Elite Hero gains double temporary hit points.

If a power only targets one target (the character who used the power, or another target) that target only gains normal temporary hit points.

Battleragers would get temporary hit points as normal. They would not get double temp hit points.

It just struck me as funny how this thread about creating elite characters is almost the opposite of this one http://www.enworld.org/forum/4e-fan...non-combatant-princess-how-abuse-warlord.html .. its about building characters who dont necessarily feel like combatants ;-)... well not really the opposite. The idea isnt to nerf the non combatants but actually show how they can hold there weight in the fight with tropes from heroic fiction.... librarian skitters behind the swordsman and suckers the orc in to running on his companions blade...
