D&D 4E 4e Ghostwalk Campaign

First Post
Ghostwalk was a unique concept, allowing players to continue playing while they are dead. I have a poll running right now in the general forums to get feedback on what players like and didn't like about the 3.0 Ghostwalk campaign and its rules for dying: http://www.enworld.org/showthread.php?t=214798

Please go to the link to vote on the poll and leave comments about the 3.0/3.5 system there.

What this thread is about, is whether or not you wish to see Ghostwalk come back for 4e and if it did in what form would you want it to return. What changes would you like to see done to it (setting, death rules, the afterlife)? If you do not want it back, then why not?

Well with the inclusion of the Shadowfell into 4e, I imagine it could be even easier to do this. You could have the players go to the Shadowfell and play there, and hopefully they will have a supplement/part of DMG just about it, its specific rules, monsters, etc.

That's a good point, FS. Manifest could just be a city where the border between the real world and the Shadowfell is extraordinarily weak.

I'd love to see them redo the rest of the book as an online supplement or something. The gazetteer and monsters are still pretty spiffy, as are the gods.

That is a good point. So how would you go about reimaging the setting that way. Give bulletpoints.

Well, I haven't played Ghostwalk before sooo... I wouldn't be able to say, BUT, for my own campaign I plan on doing alot with the Shadowfell.

My current idea, is that in areas of extreme amounts of carnage, death, decay, etc. Rifts and pockets of space have formed in the material-world that is linked to the Shadowfell. So this could be a way to enter/leave the Shadowfell through these rifts and pockets. It could also lead to some fun side-quests where you must somehow close off these rifts, as spirits and other beings flood into our world.
