D&D 4E 4E Greyhawk-Forgotten Realms book titles

Actually at this point, considering that Greyhawk, anything that mentions Greyhawk, anything iconic from Greyhawk, and everything that Greyhawk players love about Greyhawk has been trampled on then spit upon then thrown into File 13 which was then crumpled up and placed into a Bag of Holding inside a Portable Hole consinged to the Negative Material Plane which was then written out of existence, I think Greyhawk players would be happy for anything that even mentions their world anymore.

If Greyhawk isn't "connected" to FR in some way then my guess is the word Greyhawk will never appear in any official 4E publication. Ever.

We will however see two new artifacts: the Eye and Hand of Bane.

Odd, I would think the treatment Greyhawk got in Expedition, save a single sentence at the very end (inserted by someone other than the primary authors) wouldn't exactly qualify as spitting on the setting. Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

I concur. I very much enjoyed Expedition and was glad to see Kuntz's Robilar get the chance at redemption. The only complaint I have about the book is that it needed to be more verbose.

That's beautiful, especially the 3rd on. A charming suburb of Waterdeep indeed. I could think of no more demeaning fate!

Also, I now have a mental picture of Sean Connery-Elminister sitting on a throne in Athas laughing to himself at his vast slave empire, whilst his Drow underlings whip poor Muls and Half-Giants into doing his bidding.

Nah, Elminster will be very busy producing Muls by the score himself...and Hal-Giants of course. After all, this is Elminster, the man who makes Hugh Hefner look like a celibate Monk.

Which sentence? The one about the castle leaving Greyhawk?

I didn't want to hijack his own thread, but another poster was concerned about rumors dealing with a possible merger of Forgotten Realms and Greyhawk into one campaign world. This is only a rumor, but I found the comic possibilities too good to pass up. So I was wondering if anyone would like to come up with possible book titles to such a stew. I'll start with the one I posted on a previous thread:

Forgotten Hawks: The Eleminster-Iuz Saga

To clairfy, I am not concerned about any merger, just asking the question. D&D as I have seen it no longer resembles anything that I indentify with :D OSRIC/Castles & Crusades all the way baby!

In any case, I would like to see:

Temple of Ele(minster)'s Mental Evil
Uh Oh! Is that a Demoness Lady Fungi in your basement?! Elminster, that irrascable wizard is up to his old tricks again of confounding adventurers by sending them on quests into various parts of his tower: They must recover gems and a golden skull in order to woo the lovely girl who has moved into his downstairs apartment. Little do the adventurers know that this girl is none other than Zuggtmoy herself! The players will soon uncover a nefarious plot of rent-dodging (captializing on Elminster's alzheimers as to what day is 'rent-day'....and that he has inadventently added an extra E to his name to make the title work...) when they discover that Lhaeo's outer office has subletted to Lolth; home on summer break, jobless and not a penny to her name! For 4-6 characters of Intelligence of 6 or less.

Well, the sentence about it never coming back. The castle going on tour isn't bad in itself; it hearkens back to some classic Dragon articles and fantasy novels in that regard.

Noooes!
I haven't bought the adventure and now the ending is spoiled! (Not really WD, don't worry: Any adventure that uses a 'cloned' villain instead of the real McCoy, well.....)

I eagerly await Castle Greyhawk atop Mount Waterdeep! That is as obvious place as any!
