[4e] IG's The Witchlight Strand [OOC]

There are enough goblins to make you nervous, should there be a fight. At this particular point, however, I'm not certain that fighting is the best option. I'm thinking that maybe a skill challenge is in order.

I'll leave that up to you guys. If you want to do a skill challenge, which skills do you think would be best in this situation? Why?

Right off the top of my head (which is about to hit a pillow any minute now) I would think Religion and Intimidate would make a great combo....if you can get the Gobbos to believe that something from their Mythos is angry with them for interfering with its plans.....maybe Bluff would help as well....

Like I said before, Vatan is a bit straight forward in his thinking and this is NOT his idea at all.

Is the boat a sailboat or powered with oars?

If sail, are there either oars or poles used to push along the vessel? I'm thinking maybe athletics or Endurance to move the boat along faster. Jude's not the brightest bulb but he's strong so that's likely his best option.

Vatan would see this as a better option if someone either starts working on it or mentions it. He was "hired" on as a marine and that is what he will be doing (ie: repelling potential boarders). Unless a better option comes along or ordered by the ships master.

Another idea might be to create the illusion that the ship is already bursting into flames so the Gobbos figure they got lucky and don't have to lob any fire at us.....

I know....we are only 1st level after all

It's a sailboat, though there might be a pole or two lying around somewhere for one obscure purpose or another.

FYI: I typically roll initiative myself to save time, but I don't have everyone's character sheets in the Character Records Thread, and I didn't feel like tracking them down in the OOC thread.

If you guys wouldn't mind posting your latest incarnations, I'd appreciate it.
