T1 is a Terrorblade, if you want to look him up. Level 3, and nasty as hell. He has a specialized attack usable only when he's bloodied--an attack that does crapton of damage if it happens to crit... which this one did. Not to mention the extra damage he does against bloodied foes, which Jude was after the other orc on his flank critted him first. It was really just a perfect storm of circumstance, and poor Jude suffered the effects.[/sblock]

It was probably because he made fun f my little blue d20.

But, this just goes to show you: the Savage War ain't no joke, and people stay the hell out of it for good reason. Thankfully, once the Witchlight phenomenon is over, they should retreat back into their own territories... if they're kept at bay until then.

Yeah, people read a bit of 4e and see the 25 or so hit points most defenders start with and are like, "whoa, that's about double 3e, they're harder to kill." which are usually the people over in General Discussion who says it takes 3 rounds to kill 1 monster, or that combat takes 3 hours to complete for even the simplest encounter.

As I said, I've never really had issues killing or ko'ing PCs, especially as I look at the new damage specifications in the errata/MM3.

Vatan is gonna feel like CRAP when all this is over. He takes a step back and someone pays for it with their life.

It will be a while before he does THAT again.

And no that wouldn't have taken me out, but damn near close.

I mean half of us are into single digits for HP and are but 1 hit from joining Jude at the "Final Stand" in the town square.

You're not far from the truth, honestly. While I don't think this will be a TPK necessarily, it still ain't over yet either, if you know what I mean. I'm not sure what happened really, because according to the numbers, it's still a balanced encounter.

Anyway... I'm just being lazy about updating. I'm trying to convince myself to do it today, but I'll start with my other game first, as it's been about two weeks since I've updated it. Hopefully I'll get inspired and get to them both.
