During discussion of 4e sales, Internet retailers such as Amazon.com and Buy.com often enter the discussion due to their deep discounts. I was wondering, exactly how much 4e materials do people buy via these Internet discount retailers, so I thought I'd put up a poll to gauge at least a portion of EN World's buying habits in regard to 4e.

I fully admit I'm part of the reason why FLGS are going down the tube...I just can't justify to myself paying those prices when compared to Amazon...

100% on the net.

WOTC core, KOTS, and the goodman products have all been through Amazon.

I do the same for games besides 4E- C&C, S&W, older D&D products, CoC, etc, either company direct, Amazon, Amazon used booksellers, or Ebay.

I haven't bought a RPG product at a store in probably 5 years.

If I don't get it from Amazon, I get it with a coupon at Border's.

So far, I think...

Core Set: Amazon
FRCG: Borders
FRPG: Amazon
Adventurer's Vault: Amazon
Martial Power: Borders
KotS: Amazon
TL: Borders
Pyramid of Shadows: I honestly can't remember.

I buy all my RPG books (except for a Pathfinder subscription) through my FLGS. To be honest, though, I'm a bit surprised that it is still around.

Core books from Amazon.

Everything else I've bought through game stores, though since my local one isn't very friendly I order from places that are further away - so technically every 4E product I've bought except for one adventure has been over the internet, but mostly from places that are FLGS to someone living nearer.

Other than a 4e player's handbook when my gift set got delayed from Amazon and all the 3e core rulebooks, I've been buying RPG books almost exclusively online since I got back into gaming after a two-year layoff in 2001.
