4e Modern

I don't think anyone mentioned this before:

4th power project : Critical Hits

It is an interesting take on using 4E as a framework for a Modern game.
The approach is interesting. I like the idea of using martial practices as a template for certain special actions like hacking. I don't like his wealth idea, though. Personally, I think the best way to handle wealth is to change it to "resources." GP become RP. Resources are a purely abstract concept, representing actual purchasing power, backroom deals, mysterious benefactors, ability to requisition from your employer, etc. By the time you get to epic level, your actual money doesn't matter so much as your access to high-end military (or magical) hardware.

I really hope that all these threads and the innumerable questions and emails that Wizardds receives have them thinking about making a new version of Modern. I think it should be called Modern 2e or Revised, not 4e Modern because this really isn't the 4th edition.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure WotC cares enough about Modern to put forth any effort to create a new version. It will have to be a fan or 3PP creation.
