D&D 4E 4e previews due in December

I would say the preview article was green lighted well before now, and unfortunately no one edited it when plans changed. I KNOW I read somewhere that they decided to revamp the Dragon and Dungeon schedules, having each issue cover 2 months until 4E debuts...so issue 360 for Dragon was November and December, and 361 will be January and February, etc.

Huh, this is the first I've heard of it. Do you have a link to the announcement?

Because I would figure it should be all over and nigh-impossible to miss. I mean, the point is to inform us- shouldn't there be something near the top of the page when you log into DDI? Cause, I'm logged in and looking right now, and I don't see anything that even so much as indicates "Sorry, we're behind schedule," much less, "Sorry, we're shifting to every other month until 4e comes out."

Whatever. Their schedule was ambitious for what's essentially a ten work-day month. Stop being so impatient.
No one forced them to publish such a schedule. Now, having failed to meet it, it would be nice to update the information page with the current status.

Looking a little closer, I notice that none of the Dungeon columns have been updated since November, and many of them not since October.

Seriously, now, if you're going to have a regular column, this isn't the way to start off on the right foot. I'm glad that they have at least managed to get the adventures out, though.

I don't see why judging a service 6 months away from it's official release is fair. Right now, the digital magazines are a free, work-in-progress service which appears to be their second priority behind getting their flagship product ready for release.

If only they had someone they could've trusted to run the magazines and keep things flowing without requiring time and effort from them that they simply have proven again and again they have no time for.... if only...

Of course, the Previews article didn't say those articles were scheduled to appear after it, just that they were scheduled to appear this month. But, for one reason or another, we have received a very different set of articles.

Magic Item Levels
Elite Bulette
Full stats for Elf from the PHB
Plus the article on elf history

For a while before the holidays, the Dragon homepage showed a broken link to an article titled Ecology of the Fire Archon. However, instead of that getting fixed, it has disappeared altogether. My guess is that there was some sort of glitch in the implementation of the articles scheduled for the last two weeks and, since the people who would be responsible for fixing them wouldn't be around, they decided to instead give us a working site without the articles.

Just my guess, of course.

Holidays aren't that sneaky.

I don't know about that. Every year Christmas just sort of appears out of nowhere and bam! Christmas Eve comes around and I'm like crap! I didn't get presents for anyone!

Fair enough, though previewing something that's already been published and getting it wrong is rather confidence-shattering.
So the table becomes:

Races: Tieflings got Elves and Eladrin instead
Classes: Warlock Pacts still missing
D&D World: History of the Core World still missing
Monsters: Dragons and Dragon Families got Elite Bulette instead
Adventure Design: Traps still missing
Magic Items: Weapons got Magic Items: Levels instead
Subsystem: Critical Hits and Misses still missing

(Not counting the PHB excerpt, as that was touted as an extra christmas present.)

Three out of seven and not one of them the same as the announcement... :\

Not the best of excuses for not delivering on schedule.

Well, if you look at http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dragon you'll see it starts with:
Dragon #361
The November/December issue of Dragon is here!
So it seems pretty certain that issue 361 is November/December.
