D&D 4E 4e price increase?

As for the outrage of $120 for the core rules, the players only need the PHB. In fact, you really don't need a PHB for every player. The DM needs the three core, but still, not that expensive.
When all you get is a $100 allowance a month, it is cause to gripe.

I consider $40 standard for a complete game in a single volume. D&D requires 3 books to play. $120 is not standard; its highway robbery.
ROFL, LOL, and other acronyms of humour!
D&D requires 3 books to play, that's rich. I wonder what I've been playing all these years with my one little handbook. :p

What you'd need to do then is save some money up ready for the release date since its a good few months away. Or get a job. Or do without. Welcome to the real world.

I have never heard anyone claim that Amazon's pre-release prices were an accurate measure of what the publisher will be charging for the book. Amazon's speculations are not binding on WotC. Pay them no mind.

I do have a job. And SSD. Half my job earning go towards my rent, one third toward groceries and SSD covers all my medical needs, the rest is my play money. :\

Early on, I learned to ignore Amazon totally until a book is actually in release. Until that point, their system will report all sorts of crazy stuff apparently at random.
