Well, *dusts off hands*, you've reached the final level and defeated the boss. All before the game has been released. And now we're fiddling around with cheat codes and the level editor.

Actually because it also has the fire keyword it would still work. Look on pg. 55 where it says that immunity to one keyword doesn't protect against all the powers other effects. The T should have taken half damage from it but still would have been stunned.

As was mentioned by someone else, I'd consider the stun effect to come from the fear component and rule him immune to it.

Damage Types: Arcane, Fire, Psychic
Effect Types: Fear
Accessories: Implement

If the power inflicts 30 damage and stuns (save ends) then it does 10 arcane, 10 fire, 10 psychic, and the stun requires a save vs fear. As the Tarrasque is immune to Fear, the stun does nothing.

psst... Arcane's not a damage type. :)

Otherwise, I agree completely. The Stun effect is linked to the Fear keyword, since it's the only Effect keyword there.

Ah, see what you mean. So yeah he'd take full fire damage and no stun.
What about the other stunning powers though?

Long Fall into Darkness has both Illusion and Fear, so I'm guessing big T can be effected by it. He's not scared, but he's still falling to a pit.

Destructive Salutation is just psychic though. Not sure how to call its effect (maybe untyped?). Definitely hits big T though.

Good to know! I just started rerunning the encounter and it's not going as well for the PCs. For one thing, they all did horrifically bad on their Initiative rolls and the Tarrasque got to go first. Now they're attacking, so knowing how things work is good mojo.

I got a little lost reading the whole thread. But the T has +5 to saves so only needs a 5 thru 20 on a roll to save. Throw in any negs the characters can give but you would have to roll real crappy for him to fail saves. Also I agree he would have been immune to the Fear.

Also I didnt notice did you take into account that he has Immunity 10 to all damage types? Meaning -10 to each thing that hits him.

Its all in the keywords. Fire and psychic are damage keywords, Fear is an effect. Any result of the attack except for damage and forced movement is an effect. I think its just a matter of getting used to the rules.
