4e is D&D. It says so, right on the label.

4e is not 3e, 2e, or 1e, just as they were not their predecessors.

4e still lets you kill things and take their stuff.

4e is not for everyone. Some people who love D&D do not love 4e.

This is not, in the grand scheme of things, important. No ones soul is going to hell because they play the wrong edition of D&D. Ask Jack Chick, we're all going to hell.

WotC is not evil for producing 4e. They do not want to eat your children, or your homebrewed campaign world. They do want your money, but it is up to you to decide if you wish to give it to them.

Now can we all get back to important disussions like the relationship between the rapier and estoc and the redeemability of evil monsters?
