I loved this game, back when it (and Tower of Doom) were still in the local arcade. However, I figure you could extrapolate the game into each edition of the game (I did. I ran a very successful campaign which mirrored it, back when I was starting out in DMing). This edition will be no different in that respect. It'll be a cool game where you can smash monsters, gather treasure, and get a good story to boot.

Seriously, if this ever comes out on X-Box Live Arcade, I am purchasing immediately. If I can manage to find it somehow somewhere else, I'd love to play it again.

The dragon fight was just awesome.

We snagged the roms for these a couple years back. It's not as exciting after you figure out how to just play the cleric and "sticks to snakes" your way through the entire game.

Someone (BonusJZ) is doing a whole new D&D game with the OpenBOR engine, using D&D:ToD & SoM, King of Dragons and Knights of the Round sprites... too bad it's not done yet

A friend of mine has an arcade machine including Golden Axe and the D&D versions like Shadows of Mystara (and Tower of something something). Mind you, as cool as they are, they're no QUIZ AND DRAGONS (imagine a quiz-board game, with D&Desque monsters and classes).

Remember kids, STICKS TO SNAKES!

My friend and I bought this arcade game together. And we have the game before it, Tower of Deimos (I think is the name).

Personally, I think Shadow over Mystara was the BEST arcade game ever made (hence my buying it from the arcade we played it when they pulled it from the floor).

Would love to see someone come out with a newer, expanded version: those screenshots were awesome!
