Ah yes, I remember this game. I would not be at all disappointed if this is how 4e played.

I would have loved japanese style videogames based on the editions after 0D&D... apparently, the japaneses found the later editions 'too complex'.

But well, if this had that kind of art... man, those two games where like the Monster Manual(s) live!

Someone (BonusJZ) is doing a whole new D&D game with the OpenBOR engine, using D&D:ToD & SoM, King of Dragons and Knights of the Round sprites... too bad it's not done yet
