Happy 3rd of July!

going to play a melee sorlock. Designing in the conditions listed above. What would be fun?

primarily sorcerer...1-2 level dips in either fighter or warlock permitted.

any sorcerer and any warlock allowed.

what is the coolest attack routine you can think of based on one quickened spell possible
as well as haste....

3 attacks, any source....call it before I drink more!

interstes in shocking grasp with blue dragon sorcerer and a heavy weapon with booming blade. Those are my initial thoughts. Smarter and less intoxicated opinions welcome!!

In my mind, he went 2-3 level of fighter, then got experimented on, then full warlock.

I say 2-3 levels of fighter but I'm unsure about that 3rd level. It would be tempting to get that as eldrich knight (maybe this is what led him to believe that he and his mercs could take on the wizard?). I would use that level to get find familiar and absorb element. It would also give him a few "back up" spell slots if he ran out before the next short rest. His cantrip from that would be mending (to fix his armor) and either green flame blade or booming blade. On the other hand, that's now a 3 level dip...

The familiar would be a bat, that he would use to scout and to see in the dark.

I would use variant human to get a feat (GWM, or maybe PAM), and use armor of agathy a lot. I would use one of the warlock cantrips to get eldrich blast, but I wouldn't take any invocation for it. Others would probably be more utility - prestidigitation (to clean himself - he is ashamed of his leg and hates seeing it) - and maybe mage hand or minor image. As soon as possible he would take the invocation to take a second attack, and the spell counterspell (since he hates wizards).

I think it would be a fun character, but it has two "weaknesses". One is that it only really comes "online" at level 8. The second is that it doesn't have the versatility that a college of sword/hexblade would have

I Am not patient and when I multiclass, it's usually a level or two.

We have some similar ideas here. I think GWM would be great. Shocking grasp and greenflame blade or booming blade would all be fun! I like the spell suggestions.

In a perfect world I could start warlock and then go sorc but unless I use a bunch of feats or go all he way to blade boon, I will not have the weapons I want unless I go hexblade.

If I do that, I probably will go with heavy armor first and only at 5th or so could consider GWM...this would put off ASI or tough feat...

And the starting class impacts those saves. It's a resource managing puzzle. I think the flavor is good.

Going divine soul or shadow sorcerer could be flavorful here. Quickened inflict wounds would be wicked.
