5 rpgs I would take to a deserted island.

In order of preference:

1. 3.5 Edition D&D
2. BECMI (or Rules Cyclopedia)
3. Castles & Crusades
4. Call of Cthulhu
5. GURPS

If I get to take all of my splatbooks and accessories, then I'm pretty sure that this is all that will fit on the boat. :)

1) Hero System 5th Edition (you want a generic in there)
2) D&D 4th
3) D&D 3.x
4) Spacemaster 1st edition
5) Mutants and Mastermind (not for the game, but for setting - I'd use it with Champions)

Amusing thoughts...

1) Over the Edge
2) Ars Magica
3) Unknown Armies
4) Spirit of the Century
5) True20

Seems like a nice mix

1. 7th Sea (R&K)
2. D&D (3.5 or 4e - doesn't matter)
3. Battlelords of the 23rd Century
4. Champions
5. Ghostbusters International

My top five RPG's:

1. D&D 4e
2. Mutants & Masterminds, 2nd Edition
3. Star Wars Saga Edition
4. True 20
5. Rules Cyclopedia

Just missing the cut are D&D 3.5e, Arcana Evolved, and D20 Modern, since I figure I can run those well enough with True 20. Star Wars is too unique for me to want a generic system, and with M&M I love the flexibility of the system and the flavor of the Freedom City and Meta-4 settings.

I've never played Rules Cyclopedia, but I found a copy a few years ago at a used bookstore and have read here how great it is, and would like to give it a try one day. And if I'm stranded on a desert island, I'll have plenty of time to try it out. :)

D&D 4e
Star Wars Saga Edition
Mutants & Masterminds 2e
Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay
Dread

Rules Cyclopedia is just edged out.

Pathfinder
Mutants and Masterminds
Megatraveller
Call of Cthulhu
Star Wars: Saga Edition

Just missing the cut were James Bond 007 and Dread.

Savage Worlds.

I could run anything with it and the Explorer's Edition would take up no space.
This.

But for completeness' sake:

#1: Savage Worlds: Explorer's Edition
#2: D&D 4th edition
#3: WFRP 2E
#4: Star Wars Saga Edition
#5: Mage: The Awakening

...actually that's about the things I possess (sans splats), plus I'd miss Call of Cthulhu and Shadowrun... but what can I say?

Cheers, LT.
