So magical weapons do what? With that setup, it seems that it mattera little how good your magical weapon is..

Magic weapons add a bonus to your damage as normal to hit is not needed. Magic armor adds more HP.

Here is the jist from the other thread:
All PC's and Monsters hit a defense on a 10+
You get +2 to hit a non-AC defense.

Maneuvers (Aid other, Bull rush, Escape, Grab)
Opposed skill rolls, athletics most often.

Feats
Feats that provide a bonus to hit or defense are not used. Toughness feat is not used (see armor below).

Powers
Powers that give a bonus to a defense now give a penalty to attacks from that source. So, a +4 to reflexes means -4 to reflex attack rolls targeting you.

Weapons
The +3 proficiency weapons give you +1 to hit.

Armor and Shields
Leather +2 HP/tier
Hide +4 HP/tier
Chain +6 HP/tier
Scale +8 HP/tier
Plate +10 HP/tier
Light Shield +2 HP/tier
Heavy Shield +4 HP/tier
Armor and Shield bonus HP recover automatically after a short rest.

Any other ideas on how armor and shields should work? I am not sure adding bonus HP is the best solution. I know why I forgot now...
 

Why not just play Savage Worlds? This is basically the SW system in a nutshell. You succeed on a 4. Always. Roll your die, add (or subtract) your modifiers. If you score higher than a 4 you succeed.

The only difference is, what size die do you throw? More skill=bigger die.

There's your speed in a nutshell.
