OOC: False. Sleep lasts 1 minute.

After a minute, both combatants wake.

"I hate spell casters. Who did that?" Raven said, looking around.

Quentin looks at the bruises already forming on his body. Brushing off the dirt he gets up looks around and spots the barrel of water, one used for refreshing oneself after hard training.

Grinning, he gestures and content of the barrel sloshes slowly to him than raises above his head. His grin widens, fully aware of what may happen, but willing to risk it.

"Wow, I usually don't sleep with girl on my first date. But now that we did it, we can shower together too." he offers the hand to Raven waiting to see if she'll join him under the watery roof.

OOC: He knows he's provoking. But he's not moving fast - not grabbing her and forcing her under water or anything like that. Her last boyfriend tried force - Quentin tries being nice guy.

Also, Second Wind immediately after waking.

Winter/Late Afternoon

“Of course you can sit with me, Zivar,” Asherah said when the little gnome came up. She gestured to the other bench across the booth from her. “I have food and more ale coming, if you want to order anything.”

The tabaxi sipped her ale and licked the foam from the fur around her lips. “I am a bit tired, but it was a good day,” she said. “I had to move my combat classes to the afternoon. I was too worn out for my divine classes if I don’t take them in the morning! Unfortunately that means I am out in the heat of the sun,” she admitted. “I am afraid I must stink to the heavens!”

At the mention of Quentin, Asherah grew a bit more subdued. The handsome genasi had flirted with her often over the months, and she was too shy and inexperienced to reciprocate. But lately his attention had been focused on Raven, and there was a twisted knot in Asherah’s stomach whenever she saw Quentin following the beautiful upperclassman around. It was odd. He wasn’t even tabaxi!

“What is it you want to show me?” she asked Zivar, curious as ever. “I can show you something, too, while we wait.” She reached back and took up her spear. With a thought, it started to shrink until she was holding a foot long dagger instead. “And it still flames,” she told Zivar, igniting the blade for a moment. Then she snuffed it out and set it on the table in front of her with a grin.

Asherah watched Zivar do his little trick and applauded. “Very nice, Zivar!” she congratulated the gnome.

The Academy/Combat School
Winter/Afternoon
Round 0

Having finished her classes at the Divine School for the morning, Asherah headed toward the Combat School. She changed into her leather armor and gathered up her weapons. She noticed a lot of students lining up along a practice field and wondered what was going on.

Spotting Mezzra the drow, a fellow student at the Divine School, Asherah pushed in next to the dark elf. “Hey,” she greeted the shy drow with a friendly smile. They spent a lot of time together in the same classes, even if they worshipped different gods. “What’s going on--”

Asherah trailed off as Quentin stripped out of his armor and shirt. His muscles rippled underneath the slight blue tint of his skin. She found herself licking her lips and purring slightly. And then Raven stepped up as well and Asherah’s tail and ears fell. Her claws scratched the wooden fencing she leaned against.

“Is she finally going to kick his butt so he’ll stop following her around?” the tabaxi cleric asked the drow cleric.

The fight started and Quentin made a clumsy grab for Raven. She promptly kicked his ass. And then...both of them fell over and started...snoring?

Asherah blinked in surprise and looked around. “What just happened?”

The two figures stirred and came awake again a minute later, with Raven sputtering curses about magic. Quentin pulled water from a barrel to shower them with. Asherah gave a huff. “Why don’t they get a room?” she growled slightly.

Raven lifted an eyebrow to Quentin. "You broke a sweat already? Lightweight."

Still, she moved closer to let the water fall on her.

Mezzra shrugged at Asherah's remarks. "Back home, if a woman wanted a mate, she informed the male of her choice and he spent the rest of his life trying to please her until she grew bored with him. If more than one woman wanted him, they just shared. You surface creatures make everything complicated."

As Asherah leaves the School of Combat, she hears a guitar playing softly. Should she turn to see where it's coming from, she sees Korlin sitting next to a tree, engrossed in his instrument. The song he is playing is simple, but he plays it well, despite a slip up or two. Each time he makes a mistake, he starts over, slower, until he masters that part, then plays full speed again. He doesn't seem to notice anyone else around him.
